Delegation to the 9th International Conference of Shenzhen Associations, Kuala Lumpur

From 8 to 10 July 2026 the 9th International Conference of Shenzhen Associations and Malaysia–China (Shenzhen) Economic, Trade and Technology Cooperation Conference, hosted by the Malaysia-Shamchun Chamber of Commerce, took place in Kuala Lumpur. The Japan Shenzhen Economic, Trade and Cultural Promotion Association and the Shenzhen Chamber of Commerce in Japan sent a joint delegation to this gathering of Shenzhen-linked associations and entrepreneurs from around the world.

Programme highlights

• 8 July: welcome dinner with representatives of Shenzhen associations from many countries
• 9 July: opening ceremony (KL & Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall), World Digital Cities Conference Malaysia session, business matching, young and women entrepreneurs' forums, Shenzhen photo exhibition
• 9 July evening: 9th anniversary gala of the Malaysia-Shamchun Chamber of Commerce and Malaysia–China Friendship Night, with a gift exchange between Shenzhen associations worldwide and the host chamber
• 10 July: opening of the smart-technology expo (World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur) and a tasting of Malaysia's famous durian

Handover and outcomes

The Hong Kong Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce received the conference flag as host of the 10th conference. Over three days the delegation took part in sessions on business matching, digital cities and smart technology, and built friendships with Shenzhen associations and entrepreneurs worldwide. The two organisations will use these connections to widen the network linking Japan, Shenzhen and the world.
